The Story of Home Sweet Homestay USA
Your Journey, Your Home
I would like to introduce myself and my family. My name is Yolanda and my husband Jorge with our surname Gómez. I was born and raised in the United States. George and I have been married for 32 years as we went to college together after meeting in high school 38 years ago. George and I went to college and managed to receive our Masters, myself in Architecture minor as an Interior Designer and my husband as an Architect. We have our own commercial/residential real estate design and remodeling business in New York.
We have 4 beautiful daughters who are also in college majoring in law and medicine and a 13 year old girl who attends a private school.
We live in a great neighborhood in the borough of Queens in Ridgewood, NY. It is conveniently located right next to the police station in which it is very safe. We also have a park a couple of blocks to the right hand side of the house and we are within walking distance to supermarkets, deli, church, post office, doctor's office, vegetable stand, library and many more. I have been living in this neighborhood for over 25 years because I needed a very safe place to raise our children.
Our house is a quiet, warm, safe and welcoming place with 2 floors in a great environment for children to snuggle up and learn without distractions.
My neighbors are my relatives. My brother and his wife live in the other house next to mine, and another brother of mine and my daughter live in another house. So, as a family, we have been taking care of the children who come to my house as a member of the family. My family also helps to take care of the children and we all help to take them to school or help them with their homework or help them with whatever they need. We have been receiving students for 22 years. It has been a pleasure to watch them grow and be ready for the next step in their lives, which is college. So going to school and not missing is very important as well as having good grades because I have a great relationship with Colegio MartÃn Lutero. It was the school my children attended and graduated from.
Finally, I want to let you know that your son will be in good hands. They will be treated as one of our own with much respect and dedication.
